Frequently Asked Questions

As a celebrant, I am open to creating any celebration or commemoration event but the core services I offer are:
Weddings and vow renewals
Funerals and celebrations of life
Naming and renaming ceremonies
I also offer M.C and hosting services at any celebration or event, as well as support for writing and delivering readings at your ceremony.
If you’ve had a look around my website and can’t see the kind of ceremony you’re after, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!

I am currently taking on bookings mostly in London and the surrounds.
However, I am willing to travel to a limited number of ceremonies each year so, if you are not based in these areas but have been wooed by my website, please do not hesitate to get in touch on the off-chance I fancy a train journey!

As a wise woman (Rebecca Lucy Taylor aka. Self Esteem) once said, “All the days you get to have are big”.
Whether you want to make a grand entrance in five metres of taffeta on horseback or you’re celebrating just getting through another Wednesday with Graham from accounts, I’m here to help you commemorate whatever feels like a milestone in whatever way feels fitting for you!
As another wise woman (me) once said, “It might look good on the Gram but does it feel good in your soul?”.
I’ve never said that before…

If you’ve got this far, I reckon there’s a good chance this just might all work out.
But, if you want to know a little more and check that I am a good fit for your day, be sure to fill in one of the contact forms and we can book a 30-minute consultation for free! Even if my celebrancy style is not right for you, I’m always happy to have a catch-up and see where I can help you on your search!
-
Once we have held an initial consultation, if you would like to go ahead with booking me as a celebrant, I will send an initial quote and hold your booking for 48 hours.
All bookings are confirmed with a non-refundable 20% deposit of the total cost quoted and you will receive email confirmation once this has been received.
-
Once your booking is confirmed, I will hold a more in-depth consultation to get to know you better ahead of planning and preparing your ceremony.
I will also offer you options on how often you would like to receive updates about your ceremony (this can be on a regular/scheduled basis or more ad hoc, depending on both your preference and when the event is scheduled to take place). Updates might include details of chosen readings, scripting drafts, symbolic elements or moments for you to review, or might be check-ins about how you feel ahead of the ceremony.
Alternatively, once you are booked in with me, I am also available to contact whenever you might have questions, concerns or just fancy a quick catch-up!
-
I would love to be part of your celebration or commemoration, no matter who you are or how you identify! All bookings are underpinned by mutual respect and compassion.
I welcome bookings from individuals regardless of identity, including those from the LGBTQ+ community.
-
From the moment you reach out, I will ask about any access needs you might have in order to make the most of my services as a celebrant. Equally, if you find any aspect of my website to be inaccessible, please let me know!
As a neurodivergent person, I am committed to holding access needs and adaptations in mind for you and your guests. This commitment also extends to physical and health access needs.

Not all ceremonies are joyful occasions and, while I would hope to commemorate the wonderful parts of your loved one and the time they had with you, I know that funerals are likely to be difficult for many people and for many reasons.
My previous work has involved roles within contextual safeguarding, meaning that I have often worked with people facing difficult situations and decisions, as well as those in crisis.
I hold a Gold Level certificate in Trauma Informed Practice from Thrive LDN and Nicola Lester, as well as having developed and delivered many workshops on Holding Difficult Conversations.
I bring my experience, skills and general sense of empathy and compassion to all that I do, including my work as a celebrant.
